For Both Members & Citizens

A current initiative of the Chamber is the formation of a “Home Rule Charter Commission.” Once appointed, this commission will draft a new form of government for the parish that must be voted on by the people of the parish.

We Serve Our Community

Most recently, during the October 2011 local elections the Chamber was extensively involved in non-partisan voter education efforts, including:

• sponsoring a live Candidates’ Forum in cooperation with the American Legion;
  and cooperating with Bonnie Blue Enterprises, LLC in WFP2011.INFO, a non-partisan voter education website.
• Through a generous grant from Entergy’s River Bend Station, the Chamber has recently embarked on our latest community service project – an “extreme makeover” of the parish’s recycling center. Going green is more than a slogan in West Feliciana Parish. It’s a way of life for many who enjoy and appreciate Louisiana’s Hill Country. A new and improved center will encourage even more people to recycle.
